New Publication Released - "What's Fair"

A new publication, What's Fair? Government Decisions and Your Rights, was released today by Public Legal Education and Information Service of New Brunswick (PLEIS-NB) in partnership with the Office of the Ombudsman/Child and Youth Advocate.

"Our mission is to ensure that all New Brunswick residents are treated with administrative fairness by government and its agencies," said New Brunswick Ombudsman Bernard Richard, Child and Youth Advocate. "This new booklet will act as a valuable educational resource for the public by describing the options available if someone wishes to contest or challenge a government decision. It also explains the role of the Office of the Ombudsman, and indicates when it may be appropriate to file a complaint with our office."

Copies of the booklet are available online at or on the PLEIS website. They are also available at the Office of the Ombudsman/Child & Youth Advocate at 548 York St., or by contacting PLEIS-NB at 506-453-5369, e-mail:, or PLEIS-NB, P.O. Box 6000, Fredericton, N.B., E3B 5H1.
