National Child Day

Each year on November 20th, Canadians from all corners of the country celebrate National Child Day in commemoration of the United Nations’ adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, on November 20, 1989.

2013 State of the Child Report: A Children’s Rights and Wellbeing Framework

On Wednesday, November 20th, the New Brunswick Child and Youth Advocate, in partnership with the Comité Avenir Jeunesse de la Péninsule Acadienne will deliver the 6th annual State of the Child report at École La Villa des amies in Tracadie Beach, NB. The report, which will focus on the child’s right to be safe from all forms of violence, injury, abuse, neglect, negligence or maltreatment will be accompanied by the 3rd edition of the Children’s Rights and Wellbeing Framework for New Brunswick, developed by the New Brunswick Health Council.
